History: Rakaiah’s parents where never married and liked to have an on again off again relationship, so she became quiet used to coming home from a friends house or school to find her father had moved out again. Nakeisha having to work to support herself and Rakaiah tried to spend as much time with Rakaiah, using it to help her daughter with school work, grow as a person as well as a witch. When Rakaiah was 6 her Mother had finally had enough of the abuse from Rakaiah’s Father to pack them up and move out. Over the next few months Rakaiah saw very little of her mother and even less of her father as a custody battle went on. Nakeisha was finally awarded full custody of Rakaiah.
Rakaiah had a pretty normal childhood after that, she would spend her days at school, afternoons riding horses, playing the violin or doing ballet (depending on the day) and then would spend evenings studying the family craft with her mother. When Rakaiah was 10 she started playing football and hockey which she played one on Saturday mornings, the other on Saturday afternoons. This care free life style went on until Rakaiah was 13. This was when her father took her mother back to court and started a new custody battle. The courts deemed that he had cleaned up his ways and was fit to have joint custody with Nakeisha so during the week Rakaiah was at her mother’s house, Friday night her father would pick her up, and on Monday he would drop her at school to walk home back to her mothers place.
Rakaiah took this new life style in her stride and didn’t have a problem with it until she had been doing the house hop for 2 years. When she was 15 however her father gave her a nickname, Kai, this wasn’t a problem, Rakaiah actually rather liked the name, but she soon found out that with the new name came new father daughter activities. Rakaiah’s father moved house soon after giving her this nickname, he had moved into a smaller house a house with a master bedroom and a shoe box bedroom. Rakaiah didn’t mind the smaller room, she only needed it 3 nights a week and she thought her father’s new house was much better than her last one, more up market and cleaner. However Rakaiah only spent one night in her new bedroom before she hated the house beyond repair. Her father abused her in most sense of the word, Rakaiah tried tricking him, going to bed in her bed and then creeping around the house to find a hiding place she could sleep in, but moving didn’t help her, her father always found her, sexually abused her and then he physically abused her while dragged her to his bed room.
After one weekend of being abused more times than she cared to remember Rakaiah went to school and carried on with her life trying to forget that it happened, its only when the abuse had been going on for six months did her father slipped up and say Kei rather than Kai, telling Rakaiah that her father was thinking of her mother while he did these awful acts to her. Rakaiah took no time rebelling, The Monday after her father slipped up on the name Rakaiah went to a friends house after school who took her to the hair dressers her mother worked at, when Nakeisha saw Rakaiah again, Rakaiah’s gorgeous wave black hair had been cut into a Mohawk, and dyed hot pink, Rakaiah stated wearing make-up and wearing clothes her mother strongly disapproved of, but Rakaiah didn’t care, all she wanted to do was make herself as far away from what her mother was as she could to stop her father doing what he was doing to her.
Rakaiah’s grades slipped, but her football and hockey game where better than ever, this was because she was picturing her fathers face on the balls as she kicked and hit them around the field. Everyone just thought she was putting most of her energy in her sport than her grades, so didn’t think anything was wrong, it was at this time that she picked up Tae-kwon do and kick boxing. Rakaiah came to realise that no one could help her unless she spoke out, but she was too ashamed to tell them what was going on behind the quaint little white picked fence So on her life went, rebelling against her mother to try and get her father off her back, which of course he didn’t, and her relationship with her mother started to fray around the edges. But on her life went, and it wasn’t until she was 18 that all the truth came out. Rakaiah had just graduated from High School and was waiting to see what her results where to see where she could go. One afternoon when she was having a lie down thinking about how badly her life had turned out she started having extreme pain and when Nakeisha took her to the hospital it came out that she was having a miscarriage. This is when it all came out and after Nakeisha had got to the bottom of it, got Rakaiah home and resting in bed Nakeisha left, unbeknown to Rakaiah. Soon after this event Rakaiah found herself being packed up and moved to a new town…a town called Ajoia.
