There aren't many rules for Ajoia characters, so the ones we have should be easy to follow.
1. Characters open for play are as follows: Vampires, lycanthropes, witches and other magic-users, fey (sidhe,faeries,demi-fey) - to be played under the guidelines of the Anita Blake/Meredith Gentry books.
Humans, biologically/genetically-engineered beings (robots would fall under this) - to be played under the original rules set by Ajoia.
2. If you are playing a child, the character must belong to another character, and safety precautions must be taken. This is an anything-goes room, so think about it before you bring a child in to play.
3. I am currently lifting the cap for the amount of players that are allowed,seeing as the room's in a down-swing right now. What I am limiting is the amount of characters per type per person. Excepting straight humans,the cap per type of character is two - meaning no going over two characters per wolf,leopard,cybernetically enhanced being,vampire,so on and so forth. And,really,be smart about it. Only create six characters for the room if you seriously have intentions on playing them.
Filler Characters
In order to properly go with ones clan we realise that one member or two may not have enough charcters to fulfill the StoryLine. We understand this and we have granted the permission to play filler characters[/i]. We are not trying to limit the Stories with the cap, mearly get others to interact with the entire room. A Filler may be played with the following rules:
1. If they wish, any other FULL member may play a filler char for them. This char is directly tied to them. Therefore, when they determine it's time for the char to die, no ifs, ands, or buts about it, because they're following my rules (see second rule). An addendum to this is if the player doesn't have three chars already and has the time to commit to this one. We ask that the StoryLine leader post a small description of the character in 'Filler Characters'so that others may have an idea of what they are up agaisnt. We would also like you to place a date stating by when the character would be terminated or have left the city/play by to avoid conflict with the rules, unless an other full member has taken up the charcter as their own.
Then,the player itself will ask the char's creator for permission to take the char as their own (separate from their ruling over it), submit a character sheet themselves,and then do whatever clan initiation the creator wishes the char to do,since I assume the char will belong to the clan they were brought in for.
2. The filler char is to be played for no longer than one month. After one month, if the char hasn't been killed or sent off somewhere far away, the player will have one week to 1) kill them off or send them somewhere far away or 2) submit a character sheet and put them in as a full player.
The failure to go by either of the rules will result in our '3-strike' rule.
1st: Moderate Probation. This means demoted to probationary member and no force-capture/kill. If you kill the character before the two week mark, you will be moved back up to full member.
2nd: Probation. If you have not complied within two weeks,the char will automatically be moved to Inactive Chars. You will be demoted to a probationary member, will not be allowed to do force-capture/kill, and will not be able to initiate new storylines. If you kill the character before the three week mark, you will be moved back up to full member after one week.
3rd: Banning. After three weeks, the char itself will be banned forever from any future play, and the player will be banned for two weeks, and then come back as a probationary member.
***Note for other players playing the filler chars: If you are playing a filler char for another player, that player's membership hangs on you too. If you don't comply with the rules as stated,they will also be subject to the 3-strike rule, except for this: they will have my full authority to hunt down the character and kill it,not to mention challenge any of your other characters to an honor duel,to be witnessed by the three GameMistresses and posted up in the Fights board.
